Statseal 2000 Earthing Gaskets.

Product Description

A down to earth solution to static.

Ideal for use on glass-lined and fluoropolymer-lined pipework or where static is a known potential hazard.
CRS has developed and patented an earthing gasket that will safely dissipate a static charge.
The Gasket is electrically conductive throughout and consists of a corrugated steel ring core, sandwiched between high quality reinforced graphite inserts.
The outer envelope is made from PTFE with a conductive filler. An alternative outer envelope of modified virgin PTFE is available for applications where a white gasket is preferred for aesthetic reasons.
(Patent no 2229047)
The flange bolt is located through the earthing tab that is then bent back over the outside of the flange and finally secured under the bolt head to form an each loop (Design no. GB 2091402)
The gasket will not inhibit electrostatic charge dissipation provided it is earthed as recommended. The provision of an earthing gasket at every flange will ensure that a maximum number of earthing points is available to any charge that may build up.
CRS gaskets satisfy BS5958 Part 1f 1980 section 14.4.2. As the test results are given for guidance only, we recommend customers to conduct their own tests to establish the suitability of these gaskets in their hazardous areas.
Gaskets can be supplied with any dimensions to suit your pipework.
