Established in 1978 as a specialist company offering a repair service for Glass Lined Reactor Vessels, CRS has earned a strong reputation throughout the Chemical Process Industry for product quality, reliability and fast response to customer needs.

In the mid-eighties the Companies activities were further enhanced with the introduction of a Gasket production facility, and CRS were soon established as a supplier able to meet the most urgent needs from the industry. The ability to respond to those demands were the cornerstone of our success in the early years, however more recently as the business has developed we not only deal with emergencies, but also supply to many customers against their scheduled requirements, with a comprehensive range of gasketing and sealing products.

During 1989 an additional facility at Lyon Road, Bolton was purchased to meet the increasing demand for CRS gasket products and to introduce an integrated PTFE manufacturing capability. PTFE had by now become an increasing part of our product range.

The company reached another milestone in 1990 with the acquisition by Pfaudler Balfour of the CRS business. Pfaudler the worldwide leader in the supply of glass lined vessels, with manufacturing sites in the U.S.A., Germany, U.K., Brazil and Mexico, opened up new opportunities for the CRS business which now supplies specialist gaskets and PTFE sealing products to all the Group locations.
