PTFE Envelopes

Milled Envelopes.

This design allows the bore of the gasket to be flush with the internal diameter of the pipework, thus allowing free flow of liquids and less likelihood of product build up within the system.

Rounded Bore Type.

This high performance design exhibits excellent resistance to permeation by gases and liquids due to the 2.5mm wall of PTFE on the inside diameter. Because of the bull nosed radius bore, it also enhances the envelopes mechanical strength reducing the risk of fracture.

Slit Type.

The Most economical design of envelope but not recommended on gaskets thicker than 1.5mm.

Welded Type.

This most cost effective way of manufacturing larger diameter PTFE envelopes is by forming and welding at one point, skived PTFE tape, ideally used on manway openings and vessel main flanges, where machining from tube would be uneconomical.
